Before even canvassing for a contractor, you should know exactly what you want. This will not only help the contractor quote, but give you total control of your project.
1. What is your time-frame? 2. Make a list of specific things you want (Cut and paste pictures from magazines of things you want in your construction) 3. Set a maximum budget and a contingency fund (If you have set your maximum budget, you may declare this amount to the contractor less 30%

Construction investments
may slowdown in 2009

CEBU - Leaders of the Cebu Construction Industry are cautious these days. They are anticipating the global effect of the financial crunch that may dramatically hurt the industry. They forecast a slowdown in new property development that may be felt next year.

Although prices of some construction materials such has steel have now dropped by 30 to 40% in the last 2 months, industry leaders expect the pace of some major developers to slowdown a bit.

Statistics shows that people are very cautious where and if ever they will invest their money.

SEC APPROVES NEW
UAP BY-LAWS
October 26, 2009

The Philippine' Securities and Exchange Commission last October 26, 2009 approved the New UAP-IAPOA By-laws of the United Architects of the Philippines and its Amended Articles of Incorporation. Said By-laws was passed and approved by the General Assembly last April 22, 2008 at the SMX Convention Center during the 34th UAP National Convention and Annual Business Meeting.

HAND-OVER RITES OF CENTRAL COUNCIL SECRETARIAT
UAP accepts the responsibility

Towards the end of 2008, the APEC Architect Monitoring Committees of Mexico and the Philippines had searched for a common span of time convenient to both Monitoring Committees during which Mexico could hand-over the responsibility of Central Council Secretariat to the Philippines. No such common time could be found despite the invitation of the Philippines that the official rites be hosted by the United Architects of the Philippines in December 2008 and the reciprocal invitation of the Federacion de Colegios de Arquitectos de la Republica Mexicana for it to be hosted in Mexico in January 2009. Even so, the Secretariat in Mexico transferred documents to the Philippines electronically.

On April 25, 2009, however, the face-to-face transfer rites transpired when Secretary General for 2007-2008 Fernando Mora Mora came to the Philippines during the 35th National Convention of the United Architects of the Philippines.
